Lots goin’ on…

Since my parents divorced I’ve had two separate families, and most of the time that has been an OK thing. Obviously, there are many times I wished I could come home from school and have my Dad there or not have to divide up my time. Lots of times I just wished I could say something once and both parents hear it rather than having to make sure I told each one individually… but all in all I’ve been lucky to have both my mom and dad in my life and even luckier to have my stepdad and now Sherel. Today is a really happy day for Dad and Sherel and definitely me. Seeing my dad hurt was not easy for me, and I’m so glad to see him happy again. It’s one of those days that reassures me that God does not close one door without opening a better one. However, in the midst of this joyous occassion, my other family received some bad news. So while I feel happy for dad and sherel, I am sad for Steven and Mom. Its a serious conflict of emotions. Anyway, I just think its good for me to get it out there… and we could use a few prayers.. just a few prayers for peace and understanding.

you know… something that really peeves me is when someone talks about dreading hanging out with another person and not really liking that person blah blah blah… and then when they get around that person they try everything to get their admiration. I can’t stand that. If I don’t like you, I’m probably not going to beg attention from you. If I do like you, I’m not going to talk about not wanting to hang out with you behind your back. Just a thought.

Valentine’s Day

Most people either love this holiday or absolutely hate it. For 16 years I went Valentine-less and really did not care for this day. Thankfully I had great parents who always gave me a little something to remind me that they loved me.. but when you’re going through puberty getting a Valentine from your mom doesn’t really mean a whole lot. Anyways… as I’ve grown up I realize that Valentine’s day is not just about telling your significant other that you love them.. because honestly shouldn’t you be doing that every day? In my opinion, its about telling your friends and family members that you appreciate, care, and LOVE them! so to my friends, I LOVE YOU :)
